London-based indie/electronic trio ashnymph have shared their debut single, ‘Saltspreader’. “It actually depicts the romance of the freight industry,” the band explain. “It’s the soundtrack to the inner workings of a lorry driver’s life. It’s service station dance music.” Musically, it’s a nostalgic blend of playful indie distortion and heavy dance production, that feels like it is about to tip over the edge into controlled chaos. You could almost find a punk influence in there if it wasn’t for that MGMT-esque synth line. The band are playing three shows in London this July and August. -Dan Peeke
